Google's nexus line has been around since 2010,and its changed a lot over the years. It all started with the HTC-built nexus (Nexus 1) which elected as almost the reference device that showcased the android platform to developers and OEMS.
Over the years Google has partnered with numerous kinds of OEMS like Motorola,LG,Huawei and Samsung all of which brought their features to the Nexus brand. The name Nexus began to change but it didn't affect the underlying philosophy of this smartphone..
Things are now beginning to make sense little by little,HTC was chosen as Google's first Nexus OEM partner and now the same can be said for the pixel line..
Google has finally unveiled the new pixel and pixel XL after series of rumors, leaked images and specs. Both devices features top of the line specs, exclusive software features and many more..
As mentioned above,pixel and pixel XL are google phones but are actually manufactured by HTC (which means Google was based on the software aspect of the device and HTC on the hardware aspect).. Both devices spot an aluminum and glass design.. You'll notice the back panel is made of aluminum,except for the small glass section on top of the device that surrounds the camera sensor and fingerprint reader..
It should also be noted that unlike other Nexus devices in the market,this new devices has no HTC branding whatsoever. Instead a small 'G' logo is present at the back of the phone,this is to tell you that these devices are strictly Google products..

Google decided to make double smart phones this year ,similar to what was done last year with the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. As for pricing and availability ths smart phones will be available through the Google store with pre-order starting 4th October 2016. Pricing starts at $649 for the pixel. Google states that the smartphones will be available in the Us,Australia, Canada,Germany and the Uk. It'll also be available in India,with pre-orders starting October 13.
