Couple of days ago MTN launched their 4G LTE network and this has brought forth mixed reactions. Based on the fact that this 4G network doesn't work on some 4G enabled devices just like the NTEL 4G network which is currently available in some states in the country..
Now another telecommunications company (GLO) has launched its first 4G connectivity in Nigeria and their data plans are even very affordable compared to what mtn offers..
Glo's 4G LTE data plan include the following
N500=1.6Gb 7 days
N1000=3.2Gb 30 days
N2000=7.5Gb 30 days
N2500=10Gb 30 days
N3000=12Gb 30 days
Glo's launch of the 4G LTE network shouldn't come as a surprise. The company has the cheapest data plan unlike other operators but their internet speed in some area of Lagos like mine is very poor..
This service is however being rolled out in stages,it is currently available only in a few selected cities like Lagos,Abuja,Jos,port Harcourt, Benin,Yola,Zaria,Eket and Warri.. To choose a data plan simply dial *777# choose 1 and there after select from the listed data plans...
What's your view on the launch of the Glo 4G LTE network?? I don't know about you but I think our country's view in technology is changing gradually for the better..
