WhatsApp as we all know happens to be one of the most popular messaging application across all mobile platforms both Android and iOS alike. With over millions of people using this as a method to stay connected with friends and family and also share photos, videos and documents among themselves.
But that's not all there is to the WhatsApp messenger application. Before the previous update,we used to have the WhatsApp status update feature which you can use to share how you currently feel or your present location or what you're doing presently without sending any messages to anybody. But that feature was revoked only to b replaced with another kind of picture status update which was some what of a set back as people really criticized this new feature because after setting a picture status, it expires after 24 hours. Just how lame it that?? Though it does have a cool feature which was the ability to see who viewed your picture status update
However good it is..It can never be as good as the old status update which we all know and it's a really good thing it was brought back with the latest update of the application. Though the picture status update still stands. I don't really know why..I haven't even used it more than twice since over a month or two.
Though the status update isn't as it used to be.As you can see in the above image You can no longer find it if you click the three dotted icon close to the search icon. But you'll find it if you go to settings and click on your profile
I for one am really glad this feature is back. The picture status update didn't help me for one day. How can I update my status only to have it disappear after 24 hours. Well at least now I can go back to writing my funny status on my profile and no longer have to worry about it being removed..
